Join the York Writers Yahoo group and mailing list!

Our members range from published novelists to those just getting started. We're interested in all forms of writing - articles, poems, short stories, novels, scripts.

Our aim is to provide the support and expertise to get you from unpublished writer to experienced author.

Main meetings (see Programme), which are a little more formal, usually consist of a Speaker, a Competition, or Manuscript Readings. Occasionally we run discussion panels on relevant topics. We always have details of some external competitions and courses available.

Fees: Members £1 per evening, guests £2.50 per evening . Money goes on speaker fees and prizes for competitions.
